ALICE MOORHOUSE
(1802- 1815)
Alice Moorhouse was born in 1802 and was the third daughter of John Moorhouse
(1762-1838) and Alice.

Alice caught typhus fever from her brother-in-law, Henry Bolton, a cotton
manufacturer who caught the disease from an infected sample of cotton at Carleton.
Alice died 20th May 1815 aged only 13.
She was the second of the three daughters,
of John and Alice Moorhouse, who died in May 1815 at Brown House Farm.
She
is buried next to her sisters at All Saints Church. Elslack.
