The cenus records below show how Martha Moorhouse was the Landlady of the Bull Inn after the death of her husband Thomas. She remained as the landlady, in latter years with her son Edward as General Manager, utill her death in 1873 [falling out of a dog cart]. Her son Edward then ran the Bull Inn until his death in 1885 [from epilepsy] when his wife Alice took over. Some time between 1890 and 1891 she moved to Gargrave and a new landlord took over.
