JOHN MOORHOUSE

(1650 - 1709)

John Moorhouse was the first born son of Thomas Moorhouse (1607-1661) and Ann.

John married Mary and according to local historian and author  Harry Speight in "Upper Wharfedale" they had four children:-

Thomas (born 1689),
Ann (born 1690)
John (born 1692) and
Edward (born 1697).

John Moorhouse died in 1709 and he is recorded in the Skipton Parish Register as "John Moorhouse of Skibeden, Keeper of My Lord Thanets Parke". He was buried on May 17th.
