JOHN MOORHOUSE

John was probably the son or grandson of Thomas (? - 1538) and was registered in Peacock's "Yorkshire Papists in 1604" as a recussant (historical word meaning a person who refuses to obey the Church of England, and was usually a Roman Catholic) in Skipton.  Only seven recussants were registered in the Skipton area.
